Effective date: 1 January 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Hostsavers hosting and IT services.
It applies to all customers and to anyone who uses our services. By using our services you agree to this policy. We may update it from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page. Where this policy refers to "you", it includes your end users and anyone you allow to use your account.
You must not use our services to host, store, transmit or link to material that:
You are responsible for ensuring all email sent through our services complies with applicable laws, including obtaining consent before sending marketing messages and providing a functional unsubscribe option. We may apply sending limits to protect mail server reputation.
Shared hosting resources are provided for normal website and email operation. You must not use a disproportionate share of server resources (CPU, memory, disk, bandwidth or processes) in a way that degrades service for other customers. We may ask you to optimise your usage or move to a more suitable plan, and may take reasonable action to maintain platform stability.
While we maintain our own backups for platform recovery, you remain responsible for keeping your own independent backups of your data. Backups are provided on a best-effort basis and should not be your sole copy of important data.
We may suspend or terminate access to services, or remove offending material, where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, where required by law, or where necessary to protect our platform, our customers or third parties. Where practical and appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue first; in urgent cases (such as active abuse or a security threat) we may act immediately.
To report a suspected breach of this policy or any abuse of our services, please email admin@hostsavers.net with as much detail as possible.
If anything here is unclear, contact us at admin@hostsavers.net before using the service in a way you're unsure about.
